Yorkshire Federation of Young Farmers’ Clubs
On Sunday 17th May 2026, Longley Farm was proud to host the Yorkshire Federation of Young Farmers’ Clubs County Dairy Judging Finals.
It was a pleasure to welcome members from across Yorkshire to the farm for this annual competition, where competitors had the opportunity to demonstrate and develop their dairy stock judging skills. We were delighted to hear such positive feedback regarding both the quality of the livestock and the facilities on the day.
The event also saw a number of new junior members taking part, which was fantastic to see and highlights the continued enthusiasm for the future of the dairy industry and young farming community.
Following the competition, Farm Manager Paul provided members with a guided tour of the farm, giving visitors an insight into the day-to-day operations at Longley Farm and the work that goes into maintaining our dairy herd and production facilities.
We would like to thank the Yorkshire Federation of Young Farmers’ Clubs for choosing Longley Farm as the venue for this year’s finals and congratulate all competitors who took part. We wish the successful finalists the very best of luck at the National Finals during the Great Yorkshire Show in July.
It was a privilege to support such a well-organised and enjoyable event, and we look forward to welcoming similar opportunities in the future.
